Kim MacGregor remembers sitting outside the neonatal intensive care unit at SickKids hospital 12 years ago, scared and confused. “I want her to be able to run … to sing and dance … to do whatever she wants to do,” she remembers telling her husband.
Her firstborn had cystic fibrosis.
