The words “plastic surgery” often evoke images of Hollywood stars transforming their noses or trying to delay the effects of aging. But what about the seven-year-old boy who has had an ear sculpted from his rib cartilage because he was only born with one ear? Or the four-year-old girl who couldn’t eat, drink, or speak properly before having her facial cleft corrected?

Dr. Peter A. Adamson is an Otolaryngologist, a head and neck surgeon, practicing in facial plastic surgery. While he spends most of his time helping men and women whose goal is to have their outer appearance reflect their inner spirit, several times a year, far from his private Yorkville clinic, Dr. Adamson changes the lives of children, one face at a time.
